TWILIGHT OF IMPUNITY

The first exhibition outside of Krakow by young art adepts from Szaber will be, on the one hand, a classic “coming-of -age” presentation of the doubts of the times of youth and transformation, on the other hand, a bold declaration: yes I am ready to enter the world of art, despite the not-so-favorable conditions and turbulent reality around.
The Shaber collective is a self-organizing group - they have already managed to participate in the art world not only as artistic persons, but also organize exhibitions themselves as a gallery, curators, sometimes technicians. This experience translates into awareness and adaptability, which allows them to express themselves in various media from painting ( Krakow - the capital of Polish painting!) through various photographic and video techniques to experiments with objects and sculptures (ready-made, rescaling and non-obvious use of materials). In Szaber's works, the form always complements the content. For these are works of the reflective genre, sometimes perversely light in their nonchalance, but this is often camouflage.
For Szaber, the Internet can be both a source of suffering and visual delight, as they have a rather intricate relationship with the cyber world. They translate the virtual world into analog works, track down absurdities, and steal themes. However, they do it in their own way: with the help of irony, but also tenderness, enthusiasm broken by light weariness, perversity conquered by amusement.
